Profile of Amy M.

Part-Time, 2 Years of Experience

I've been tutoring a first grader in reading and writing for awhile. She has a learning disability because her parents did drugs which resulted in her having A.D.D. I'm very patient with children and very positive, and tell them to never give up, but I also make it fun. This little girl has made me realize that it's very rewarding helping her, and seeing her smile when she makes the better grades in school. I'm very optimistic and have a passion towards kids. Ever since I was a teenager I've done many volunteer projects with children. I enjoy working with children because you never know what they're going to come up with in their heads. Creativity is something a child will never lose. It's very rewarding seeing the child grow and learn more of what they need to know on a day to day basis. I have worked with children all throughout my life: whether it was at vacation bible school, teaching them how to play soccer, or even volunteering at a local center and helping them with their homework. Sometimes my kid side still shows, but I know how to get serious too. Thanks for you're interest!

Extra information: I've always been an A/High B student and am currently a sophomore at UTSA studying anthropology. I like to think I'm creative and have new ideas for things. I love arts, soccer, films, cultures, and traveling. I am currently from Houston but in San Antonio for school!
